Oriental rugs - An authentic oriental rug is a handmade carpet that is either knotted with pile or woven without pile. Oriental-design rugs made by machine or any method other than hand knotting or hand weaving are not considered authentic oriental rugs.

Indigo dye - Indigo dye is an important dyestuff with a distinctive blue color (see indigo). The natural dye comes from several species of plant, but nearly all indigo produced today is synthetic.

Vat dye - Vat dyes are an ancient class of dye, based on the original natural dye, Indigo, which is now produced synthetically. Both cotton and wool, as well as other fibers, can be dyed with vat dyes.

Oriental Beech - The Oriental Beech (Fagus orientalis) is a deciduous tree in the beech family Fagaceae. The natural range extends from northwest Turkey east to the Caucasus and Alborz Mountains.
